
Busch, Todd
Professional engineer Todd Busch, M.A.Sc., P.Eng., P.E., INCE Bd. Cert., has 30 years of consulting expertise and offers a variety of engineering services with a focus on acoustics, noise, and vibration. He has a prepared a graduate thesis on noise reduction and earned bachelor’s and master’s degree in applied science. Mr. Busch also has a certificate in construction management.
He has done research on room acoustics through the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, assisted the National Research Council of Canada in developing the best possible railway designs, and worked for the B.C. Ministry of Transportation and Highways to develop a highway noise barrier design guide.
He has a unique foundation of professional experience, having lived and worked in eight cities and three countries over his career. He is the first recipient of the Eckel Student Prize in Noise Control from the Canadian Acoustical Association.
Mr. Busch is licensed as a professional engineer in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, California, Oregon, Nevada, Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and New York. He passed the board certification exam administered by the Institute of Noise Control Engineers.
Todd Busch Consulting (TBC), which offers a variety of engineering services, specializes in acoustics, noise, and vibration. These include the effects and mitigation of the environment, highways, railroads, architecture, residential and commercial structures, and room acoustics.
Established in 2007, TBC’s proprietor has extensive professional experience and has made significant contributions to over 600 projects, including architectural acoustics, a range of industrial locations, and environmental noise and vibration assessments for all modes of transportation. In addition, he has experience with water treatment, electromagnetic fields, structural design, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
